OUR VIEW ON THE PROPOSED INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION CENTRE

Section 4(g) of the LSK Act is to the effect that one of the objects of the society is to BORROW money for all or any of the objects in such a manner and upon such security as may from time to time be determined by the SOCIETY.
The act is very clear that the determination is to be made by the society and not a few members who pass a resolution "overwhelmingly voted for". As a member I ought to know how, from whom the money is to be borrowed from, how it is going to be re payed.
Coercing members to make contributions without disclosure doesn't make sense. Is the contribution a donation or an investment? How do we as members of the society recoup the amount.

OUR STAFF
The firm’s managing partner Dennis Chiuri Wachira holds a degree in Law from Moi University, he also holds a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. He began his practice as a Pupil in the firm of Maina Rogoi & Company Advocates and after admission to the roll of Advocates, he became an associate with the same firm until he set up his practice.
His competent in several practice areas up to but not limited to Banking and Securities Law, Coveyancing, Insurance Law, Probate and Administration, Civil and Criminal Litigation and Commercial law.
Alexander Muchemi Muthee holds a Law degree from Moi University,  he also holds a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. He began his practice at Sagana Biriq and Co. Advocates as a pupil where he was retained as an Advocate until joining the firm of Chiuri and Chiuri Company Advocates as an Associate.
The firm is also made up of several support staff who assist in the day to day running of the firm. We pride ourselves as being a team of competent individuals aimed at achieving the highest standards in legal practice.

OUR SERVICES
1.      Litigation – We represent clients in both civil and criminal litigation matters.  Further we Act for our clients in matters before various Tribunals.
2.      Convegancing – We draft and negotiate leases, sale agreements, transfers, charges and discharges.  We also peruse sale agreement as well as after advise to our clients.
3.      Debt Collection – We enable clients recover debts owed to them, within the confines of the law and in a speedy manner.
4.      Probate and Administration – We prepare document related to administration of an Estate of a deceased to enable such persons obtain a certificate of confirmation of grant.  Further we represent clients in court on the same.
5.      Commercial Matters – We incorporate companies, business names, draft and register partnership deeds, engage in sale and transfer of shares for private companies, draw pint venture agreements, draw and register power of Attorney and related matters.
6.      Legal Opinions – We draft comprehensive, easy to understand legal opinions on various legal questions that the client may raise be it compliance with new legislation, interpretation of legal documents among others.
